Painting & Finishing

Post casting process is very important for an integrated foundry group like SJIF. In India, many small foundries usually outsource their finishing requirements or sell non-value added rough castings, but SJIF has over 100,000 square feet combined area dedicated across its 3 units for just the finishing process, some of which are as below –

Fettling & De-gating –

Bench grinding, angle grinders, swing frame grinders, buffing machines ensure that castings are de-gated & fettled before proceeding for further process.

Shot Blasting –

Shot blasting is done via a automatic shot blasting machine with PLC control & mechanised handling of the castings for faster output . A chamber size of 1800 x 1800 ensures that almost all sizes of castings can be shot blasted at SJIF without any reliance on external third party blasting facility.

Painting –

Since complete castings are supplied by SJIF to most of its customers, painting becomes a very important part of our infrastructure.
