‘Spheroid Graphite’ or ‘Ductile Iron’ is a unique form of Iron which prior to the metal casting process receives crucial mineral additives to produce an exceptionally strong resistance and durable metal, the molecular structure of ‘Ductile Iron’ gives rise to excellent additional strength and shock load resistance, within structure carbon steel, without steel inheriting corrosion.
‘Ductile Iron’ Manhole Covers, Gratings and Frames are fast replacing the conventional ‘Grey Iron Manhole Covers, Gratings and Frames on account of uniqueness in its Strength to Weight ratio, Design, Weight and the Cost benefit.
All ductile Iron covers are made as per BS EN 124 or AS 3996 or other relevant standards. Loadability & model depends on application as below
Solid top covers
SJIF can manufacture DI manhole covers from 150 x 150 mm to 2000 x 2000 of single piece covers . SJIF has made multipart Ductile Iron manhole covers of even 4000 mm x 4000 mm for special project in GCC
Gully gratings
Gully gratings in ductile iron are made in various shapes & sizes by SJIF. They come with or without frames as per site conditions. It has various features like Hinged, Non – hinged, hinged pin, locked, air-tight, bolted etc.
Channel gratings
Linear gratings come in various shapes & sizes like 150 x 750 , 200 x 750 etc. SJIF makes channel gratings of all load classes like B125, C250, D400, E600, F900 etc. SJIF has supplied F900 Di Channel Gratings to International Airports
