SJIF is one of the rarest Indian foundries to have in-house VMC machines for making moulds, patterns/dies. This gives it the unique advantage of fast tooling & rapid prototyping for any casting development
It also helps to lower the costs for our buyers who may want to develop tooling with us. SJIF also provides tooling as a service through one of its sister concerns. Most of the toolings made are for the defence & construction sector. In-house tooling ensures that even during running production, if moulds need to change, they can quickly be replaced without affecting production.
Tooling for all of SJIF’s exported products like sanitary castings (manhole covers, gratings, valve boxes, counterweights, agricultural rings etc.) are made in-house. A full fledged pattern shop with all the jigs and tools ensures that dies are ready to be deployed to produce castings readily with no external dependence. In some cases, for some very critical specialised jobs, some dies are outsourced to qualified & verified vendors too.
